PAINT WORKSHOP 2021.

The following workshop was created during the pandemic. Its main purpose is to allow students from all grade levels from elementary, highschool, organizations and groups to participate in learning from a first nations perspective the introduction to painting in my style of work. The workshop combines traditional elements of cultural teachings in first nations understandings applied with contemporary fine arts practices. Early grade levels beginning from grade 1-3 explore the basics of colour theory and mixing, simple design creations related to first nations culture. Further development continues from grades 4-12 in more detailed understandings in art theory and practice, we discuss areas related to contrast, composition, subject matter, complex design integration elements. Future additions to this workshop series will explore advanced cultural design elements, colour theory and studio practice.
